Water well drilling rigs can generally be classified by various methods such as assembly form, drilling depth, driving equipment type and drilling process.
1. Divided by drilling depth
Water well drilling rigs can be divided into the following categories according to the drilling depth:
1. Shallow well drilling rig: the drilling depth is not more than 300 meters
2. Medium-deep well drilling rig: drilling depth in the interval of 300-800 meters
3. Deep well drilling rig: drilling depth is in the interval of 800-2000 meters
4. Ultra-deep well drilling rig: drilling depth exceeding 2000 meters
