Core Drill Bit
Core Drill Bit
The core drill bit breaks the bottom hole rock with a ring structure to drill the core, thereby forming a core pillar in the center. The core harvest rate and the speed of drilling are all related to the quality and selection of the drill bit. The structure design of the core bit should be conducive to improving the core harvest rate. The bit should be drilled smoothly to avoid vibration and damage to the core. Outer edge of the bit and the center of the borehole should be concentric. And inner cavity of the drill bit should be able to make the core claws as close as possible to the core entrance, so that the core can enter the core barrel through the core claws and be protected soon after it is formed, at the same time, it can be as close as possible to the core root when cutting the core , to reduce the residual core at the bottom of the well.
According to different formations, the commonly used core bits for water well drilling rigs are divided into steel core bits, scraper core bits and diamond core bits.
